History

May 15, 1851 at Wesleyan Female College in Macon, Georgia, Eugenia Tucker Fitzgerald and her five friends, Octavia Andrew Rush, Mary Evans Glass, Ella Pierce Turner, Elizabeth Williams Mitchell, and Sophronia Woodruff Dews formed a secret society for women called The Adelphean Society. Later on change to Alpha Delta Pi, the sorority has become more than just a ritual for women but a way of life!

The Eta Zeta chapter of Alpha Delta Pi was colonized on September 23, 1984 and installed on February 23, 1985 on the University of Southern Mississippi's campus. In 2015, Eta Zeta recently celebrated it's 30th anniversary of being here!!
